Sonia Draga – the owner, president and editor-in-chief of Sonia Draga Ltd., a renowned and respectable publishing house, established in 2000. She is also a translator, photographer, author of books and articles and distributor of car audio equipment. She used to host a TV program “Śląskie czyta” (Silesia reads). She is involved in the affairs of her local community, being the vice-president of Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice, and she worked for the Polish book market as the member of the board of Polish Chamber of Books (PIK), now being the president of the subdivision of publishers of fiction books. She has been awarded The National Order of Merit by the President of the French Republic for the promotion of French literature in Poland, the title of an Entrepreneur of Outstanding Merit by the Polish Minister of Economy and the title of “One of the most influential women in southern Poland”.
