In his opening remarks to this year’s conference, Uli Klopotek announced that “There will be no Publishers’ Forum in 2020”, as the program instead undergoes a reconsideration of the approach, having seen the German industry’s participation fall by 50% in three years.
#PF19 @PublishersForum, Ule @klopotek thanks experts and specialists who have come from many parts of the world to speak and meet with members of the German industry. But he also says he regrets that many in the business don't think strategic don't value strategic discussion."

Quote from Uli Klopotek’s opening remarks:
“The Forum is facing a decline in participants, and we have to accept that many people in the industry no longer think that strategic discussion the way we do it is relevant to them. But debate is not possible without people who want to debate.
This is why we’ve made the decision that there will be no Publishers’ Forum in 2020. It is clear that we cannot continue business as usual in a market development that is putting high-level conferences to the brink of no longer being relevant.”
